boxxe celebrates “Best Companies” 2021 ranking in pivotal year

Highlights

  • Northern leaders in Digital Transformation, boxxe, has landed the “Best Companies” 1 Star ranking, which demonstrates “very good” levels of engagement
  • The ranking defines a special status awarded to organisations where workplace engagement shows promising signs for the future

boxxe is..."a Very Good Company"

In its first application for accreditation, Yorkshire’s boxxe has been ranked as a Very Good Company to work for, and named as a “1 Star” showing high team engagement and value for employees by the Best Companies organisation.

Direct out of a pandemic, and with the entire team working from home for much of the last 12 months, this accreditation shows the dedication and hard work delivered by the whole team to look after each other and support the growth of the company.

Based on care, humility, responsibility and discipline, this accolade is all the more notable as it reflects the qualities that companies have learned, through this last year, are the key to success. Employee engagement has become a vital energy source during the pandemic, and this is something the Best Companies ranking celebrates.

According to Forbes, a recent pandemic study found that overall employee engagement levels are highly dependent on employees' self-engagement (i.e. their personal outlooks like optimism, resilience, proactivity, etc.) and that this is something successful companies need to nurture and develop. That these qualities are thriving within the boxxe team culture is a valuable achievement for the northern based tech company.

The boxxe team has increased by 26% during lockdown, after the recruitment of 47 new boxxers. They plan on continuing to grow at this level throughout the rest of 2021. With a 10% increase in profit through the pandemic, and a forecast for further growth this year, the company is going from strength to strength and this is reflected in their workplace spirit - with team members who have been with them for 20+ years.

Sarah Hetherington, Head of People, boxxe, commented on the ranking: “We are so proud to have achieved the 1 star award from Best Companies which recognises the levels of engagement amongst our boxxers.

“Our strapline is “make technology human”, it’s pretty clear to all of us that our “human” element starts with our team and their tireless determination to make boxxe succeed.

“Now we’ve started our Best Companies journey, we’ll be looking to get boxxe named as “World Class”, watch this space.”

Phil Doye, CEO, boxxe added, “We have big ambitions and we know that to achieve these we have to put our people first. Retaining our best people and attracting new talent is the foundation on which we are building boxxe.
